Talipanan Beach, Puerto Galera

White Beach, Puerto Galera can get loud and crowded as if Tomas Morato, Quezon City suddenly transferred on a beach. For weekend getaway warriors looking for a more peaceful location, Talipanan Beach is a good contender.

Talipanan Beach is a ten-minute tricycle ride from White Beach, Puerto Galera. It may also be reached by walking along the shore but may be a challenge because of some rock formations along the way. Its shore may be filled with pebbles but the water is clear like in White Beach. Talipanan Beach is the relaxed neighbor of Aninuan Beach and White Beach; there are no bars that does not close until the wee hours of the morning.

Night life may not be as lively as in White Beach but the existence of an Italian Restaurant at the end of Talipanan Beach makes up for it. Good food and wine are served daily at Luca’s Cucina Italiana.

Remember to have someone to share the meal with because of the generous servings. Try any pasta and pizza. Every thing in their menu is good. I celebrated my birthday there and got myself a free glass of wine. Sweet life. Owner/Chef is hands-on and would speak with guests.

There are resort accommodations in Talipanan Beach that ranges from P800 to P1500 depending on the season and amenities. There’s also a dive center that can take you to dive spots in Puerto Galera. For other water activities like banana boat rides and parasailing, I suggest you head to White Beach and arrange for scheduled activities with authorized operators.

Check out Puerto Galera Online for list of some accommodations and activities in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro.
