I must be drunk when I signed up for Milo Marathon 2013.
Cut-off time for the 21-kilometer race is at 2 hours and 30 minutes. How in the world can I beat that?!
My first 21K clocked in at 3 hours something. Same with my Run United runs. So help me God.
My teammates have religiously registered for Milo Marathon for two consecutive years, but because of inevitable circumstances, they have to let go of the ‘I’m a Milo Run Finisher’ status.
It’s been going on for decades. Milo has produced ‘life champions’ since 1974, and will continue until the Philippines stop drinking Milo.
So, going back..
I am runner 24154 of the 37th National Milo Marathon, and am not, in any way, going to beat that cut-off time. Honestly.
Congratulations to all finishers! I didn’t get the medal, but I had fun, a banana, a bottle of Gatorade, and packs of Milo. 😀
Congratulations, team mates! CJ, for finishing the race within the cut-off time. Richard R., for finishing your first 5k. More training for us!
I have to work on my core and shoulders; got stiff on the 8th kilometer. It’s a miracle I got past the finish line. No other injuries aside from that.
See you all next year! 🙂
